Hi Folks,
Thank you for signing up for my travelogue.
I think of this digital space as a pitstop—an all-night diner for the road-lifers, the wayfarers, the outliers, the marginalized, the othered, the orphaned, the radically authentic, the awe-seekers…
New Poetry
I retired from writing. I hadn’t written new poetry in over four years—a lifetime ago.
But here we are. I’ve become that cliché musician whose “latest tour is their last tour.”
I sincerely had no intention of releasing any new writing. My days of prose writing are over. But the beat poet still lives, however begrudgingly. It turns out that rage—and the threat of queer/trans erasure—are strong motivators.
In light of this most recent election, I find it hard to remain silent—as a queer person, as a nonbinary/trans individual, as an artist, as a poet, as a publisher…as a human being.
Over a dozen new poems have been added to Substack in the last week.
Why Substack? Why Now?
I’ve been living on the road. This platform seems to offer an opportunity to bring everyone together and foster community, connection, and creative kinship. You know, all of us—the artists, the creatives, the poets, the strays, the vagabonds, the spiritual mutts, the godless, the queers, the disowned, the subterranean…the healing generation.
For now, all new work will be posted to Substack.
With Deep Gratitude
Safe Travels
—Connor

More About My Work
From 2002 to 2022, Connor Wolfe (they/them) authored fourteen titles under the pen name L.M. Browning. Their work earned numerous accolades, including six Pushcart Prize nominations, the Gold Nautilus Medal for Poetry in 2010, multiple Foreword Review Book Awards, and the Nautilus Silver Medal for Poetry in 2022. Wolfe’s innovative approach to independent publishing led to two terms on the Board of Directors for the Independent Book Publisher’s Association, a TEDx talk at Yale University, and studies at Harvard University through grant programs.
After delivering a TEDx Talk in 2018 about their experiences with successive trauma, Wolfe was invited to participate in broader mental health discussions at state and national levels. There, they became an advocate for normalizing mental illness by sharing personal stories, a practice known as Radical Authenticity. Wolfe holds a degree in Abnormal Psychology, with a focus on the intersection of mental illness and creativity. Driven by their passion for art, Wolfe also pursued a minor in Photojournalism at Harvard, studying under Samantha Appleton, the former Official White House Photographer for President Obama and the First Family.
In early 2024, Wolfe worked as Volunteer Staff in the Collections Department of the Museum of Anthropology at Ghost Ranch with a team preparing sacred objects for repatriation under the newly updated Native American Graves Protection and Repatriation Act. They are currently wintering along the Rio Puerco on Cerro Pedernal before once again hitting the road.
